holiday hw progress... 1 chem paper... so in total, i did 2 e-mths papers and 1 chem paper... and half a phy paper... more than anyone else...
i came across this book: the davinci code by dan brown. it managed to make me spend 2 whole days reading it... the previous book that managed to do that was harry potter... its mystery and suspense... quite nice...
i will not update my blog as often after school reopens...
added sabrina's link and fixed xin ying's...hopefully it works this time...

somebody asked tonnes of questions about the trip, so i decided to put this travel diary here... its a shortened version, but should be able to answer some questions...
wed, 9th june
sl's met at band room at 5 to load instruments, then proceeded to the airport. i took yizhong's uncle's car with pang, yiz and auch. At airport, i managed to count 11 people in the section after lyk 101 counts... called dafril at 5.10 and he said he was leaving his house... told me will be down in 15 mins... reporting time: 5.20. there was some technical problems with the emirates administration. i was lucky to be one of the first few... received my boarding pass and went for dinner with short and parents, auch and wai. flew at abt 9...
Thu, 10th june
proceeded to Kevin Grove State College straight after touchdown... we were a bunch of walking zombies by that time... thanks to the console games on the plane. couldn't really gauge their standard as they seemed to be playing in ultrasound. couldn't even hear the girl beside me... lunch was this GIGANTIC chocolate cake which i guess even iman would have problems finishing. it was super rich... there was like 2kg of fats in the 200 grams of cake... i appreciate their geneorosity, but...
concert in the afternoon for students from some schools in the region. i was quite happy with my own performance, but according to danny the band sounded like the brown thing u find in the toilet after someone ate 10kg of bananas...
after that woolshed... fun
Fri, 11th june
performance at Queen Street Mall. band played quite well. audience was much more appreciative.. or i would say appreciative. unlike in some other part of this very small world, where we have to plant friends and family members in the audience to prevent us from mistaking the performance venue for some wax musuem... audience bacically showed us two eyes, one nose, one mouth and two ears. well, people in that place are very obidient. they follow whatever the person beside them does. one clap, all clap. one stop, all stop.
apparantly it seemed to me that the force of gravity was much weaker in aus, and as a result, clapping requires much less energy. or maybe its because of their diet. cuz in another part of the world, clapping stops after exactly 5 seconds.
another thing i noticed is that in aus, people dont store gold in their mouths when they go out. they can actually talk. the two balls, one hole and something sticking out can actually work together to form an expression. there was a few people dancing during the performance(u dont get shot down by laser eyes for doing that in aus)...
i love singapore!
Sat, Sun 12th,13th june
Griffith University, Queensland Conservatirium. basically a school for music. not a school that the government say is for music. doing well in a paper meant for a business institute is not one of the requirements for entry. they have a fine programme there. the students enter at a young age when they still love school and know what a holiday is. the result is quite impressive. i saw a lot of young talented musicians there.
had a session with mr ralph hulgren. it was fun and productive. he is amazingly similar to mr tan... having an almost equally unique sense of humour...
masterclass taken by a professor from the conservatorium itself. it was basically great. we learnt that we have to warm up by stretching before we start playing... quite cool. learnt breath control techniques too. he has a lot of funny methods of doing things.
concert we played fine. managed to survive october. it was the last performance for many of us...
Mon 14th june
visited some strange places... not much... just relaxing. proceeded to farm after that. the view was... astonishing.
the view at the farm was wonderful. simply great. no monsters towering over you. just land. stayed in cottages, where we managed to get a fire after 2 hours. the fire went out when we slept...
tue 15th june
farm activities, not very exciting, just relaxing. had fun though. headed for gold coast at evening.
Wed, Thu 16th, 17th june
movie world, dream world. fun. rides. i found lethal weapon the best, followed by wipeout... didn't buy much there... juz played the whole day. lunch was fish and chips and then burger at obsene prices...
fun
thursday night set off back for s'pore.
i love singapore...-_____________________________________________________________-|||||
hope i didn't get too carried away...

came back from the aus trip on fri... or issit sat... now my time all messed up... feel sleepy at 10, hungry for lunch at 11 and dinner at 5... 7 am looks like 12 noon, 10pm looks like 6pm... i sweat in an air con room... crap... and most of all... LIFE SEEMS TO BE ENDING... cuz vscb life gonna end soon...
trip. it was fun. learnt many new things...
performance at queen street mall: band played well... good audience...
kevin grove: performance i played quite well personally, but according to danny the band was horandous...
workshop with ralph hulgren: he talks and acts so similar to mr tan... apparantly they are very good pals... has good intepretation too... and lyk most australians i met, has a strange, or i would say unique sense of humour...
concert at conservatirium: band was fine according to mr tan, but i dun really think its great...
for the playing part, one word. fun.
there was also something extra... i had a talk with somebody, and i made up my mind on something... not so much cuz of the content of the talk, but because of the fact that he talked. hope its going to be the right desicion. if you see this, dun disappoint me... my life is in your hand... our lives...
i am thankful i get to go for this trip as it has let me spend 10 wonderful days with my dearest friends of whom i might lose contact with sooner or later...
dun wish to say more least i get too emotional... never felt lyk this for a long time... i believe it will get worse...
